3rd Annual Market Walk Program (2019)

In cooperation with Alger Wellness Coalition, Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians, and Munising Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market, APRD is proud to continue this awesome wellness opportunity for all ages! Walkers earn tokens that can then be spent on locally grown produce at the Munising Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market!

The Market Walk a free program to promote healthy living. It is open to Tribal Members and all Alger County residents.

To participate, you must walk on the indoor walking track on the 3rd floor of the Tribal Health Center. Accessible by elevator, the walking track is located at 615 W. Munising Ave.

The Market Walk starts January 14, 2019, and ends on April 12, 2019 or until all available tokens have been distributed. Participants must walk at the track between 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm M-F. For every mile walked, receive a token worth $1.00 from the track attendant. Tokens can then be redeemed at the Munising Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market located at Bay Shore Park on Tuesdays from 4:00pm-7:00pm May-October.
